DMV - Milwaukee - Northwest service center

I finally moved in Milwaukee after months... 16 months of bureaucracy hassle. I thought all I had to do was minor since I'm here and I only needed simple ID, like social security, driver's license. But they told me this should be simple at the border everything is tied with my immigration papers, which are the most official possible you can have.

After I had to go 3 times at the social security because they didn't know exactly how to proceed, few misinterpretation that made me take an appointment for nothing at the immigration. They were not too competent, but at least they were almost nice.

The best moment I spent was trying to not punch the people working at the DMV in Milwaukee to get my driver's licence. I'm a sweet and nice person and I worked myself with public for years. SO how come theses people can make me on the edge of being a serial killer? Well, incompetence, hostile expression, being stuck-up with rules written on their papers, which don't apply to my case. Com'on! The water bill has my husband's name on it, I can't give it to you saying it's my name. The bank request me to have a drivers license/ID to open my account, I can't show you my statement! Ah well the city taxes bill has my name, but strangely they don't accept this as a proof of residency. The mortgage statement does have my name but doesn't show enough activity for the woman at the booth #7.
F***K!! I'm showing them that I own a house, as you can find in taxes information online on google, but you don't believe I live in the State! BUT, I have more official papers which state that I live in Milwaukee from the immigration ITSELF. They're not in the list! Okay! So no new resident in the state/country can't have a drivers license withing 60 days, which is the limit you allow for new residents to get it, because no one can prove that fast that they live there with your "LIST".
So! Why!? tell me why! another worker, after I was waiting an hour sitting thinking about how to convice a woman who doesn't want to listen. WHY another one came to me telling me that they didn't need theses papers in a case like me!? If someone is incompetent why they work first, and why they don't refer me faster to a colleague!? WHY they don't admit they were wrong? Why they make you feel stupid? No one in the office had my opinion the qualification to work in public. Wich is being comprehensive, smiling and offering the service the client came for. I felt like I was annoying them, I was a stranger, I was complicated and even after they realized my case was a lot more simple than they thought, nothing was made to apologized for this hassle. My husband had to drive back home trying to find better papers, I was waiting. We were convenient, we wanted to have things right. Finally, to find they were wrong. The 4 people I met in different booths, no one smiled, they were speaking fast and low and kept repeating faster because I didn't understand first. So, because I ran out of this building totally grossed out by the way they treated me, I didn't fill a "comment card". I'm writing this blog. and I'm saying :
Sometimes you don't know things, which is not a crime. But if you don't know them that doesn't mean the person in front of you is wrong! Ask someone who knows and smile, because you're being paid to work with people, and if you're not happy in your personal life clients should not feel it!

tadam! I hope I will not have to deal with them again. I'll try another service centre the other time.
